Hannah Fleckenstein, previously an assistant coach at Colgate University last season, has been named the assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Hamilton College.

In 2017-18 at Colgate, Fleckenstein helped three men's and women's tennis players collect all-Patriot League Team honors. She was responsible for on-court coaching during invitationals and dual matches at Colgate. She developed and carried out team and individual practice plans and created travel itineraries for recruits and team travel weekends. She has been an assistant tennis professional at the Powelton Club in Newburgh since June 2014 and an intern with the Grand Slam Tennis Tours in Stowe, Vt., since May.

"We are very excited to have Hannah here at Hamilton," Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach Matt Brisotti, said. "Hannah comes to us with an impressive coaching and playing background. Hannah has a great desire to help improve the student-athlete experience on and off the court and the teamwork approach to personal and player development."

Fleckenstein played Division I tennis at Colgate for four seasons. She finished her career with 12 singles wins and 22 doubles victories, and spent most of 2016-17 as part of the top women's doubles pairing. She was a team captain as a senior and a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. She graduated cum laude with a double major in psychology and Native American studies, and she received the Dean's Award for academic excellence six times.

Fleckenstein was born in Boca Raton, Fla., but was a four-sport athlete at Newburgh Free Academy.
