Ithaca College's Nate Mansfield headed in a corner kick from Thomas Pierce 1:55 into the first sudden-victory overtime period and lifted the Bombers to a 3-2 non-conference win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Hamilton's Withiam Field on Tuesday.

Ithaca (4-0-1 overall) trailed 1-0 at the half and didn't take a shot until the 48th minute. The Bombers' first shot on frame was a goal by Kyle Sicke that evened the score at 1-1 in the 62nd minute.

Sam Dils '22 and Matt Casadei '19 scored the goals for the Continentals (2-1-0), who hadn't allowed any goals in their first two contests. Roth Wetzel '22 was credited with his first assist at Hamilton on Dils' goal.

Casadei's fifth career goal with 4:51 left in the second half sent the game to overtime. Rhudi Darko '20 sent a lofted ball into the box that Jeff Plump '20 and Ithaca goalie Max Lichtenstein went up for, but the ball squirted away from Lichtenstein. Casadei sprinted in from the left side and buried a shot into the back of the net.

Dils scored his first goal with the Continentals in the 35th minute on a shot at the top-right corner of the box from about 15 yards out that ended up on the left side of the net. It was the only shot by either team in the entire first half.

Sicke's goal tied the score and a goal by Jon Kyriakidis off a pass from Mansfield in the 70th minute gave the Bombers a 2-1 edge.

Hamilton aims to get back in the win column on Saturday, Sept. 15 when the Continentals host Trinity for a NESCAC game at 1:30 p.m.
