Track & field teams compete at the RIT Invitational

The Hamilton College track and field teams travel to Rochester, N.Y. on Saturday, Jan. 13 to compete in the Rochester Institute of Technology Invitational. The meet starts at 10 a.m.

The Continentals have not competed since opening the season at SUNY Brockport's Early Season Invitational on Dec. 2.

Eli Saucier '18 was a double winner in the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, and Henry Whipple '18 captured first place in the 5,000-meter run to lead the Hamilton men at Brockport. In the field events, Patrick Malin '18 placed 14th out of 31 competitors in the 35-pound weight throw, and he finished 15th out of 33 athletes in the shot put.

On the women's side, Emily Steates '19 recorded career-bests in the triple jump (10.16m) and long jump (5.12m) at Brockport. Kyandreia Jones '19 placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdle finals, and Caitlin McHugh '20 finished ninth in the 400-meter dash.
