Saucier '18 dominates at men's track & field regional meet

Hamilton College's Eli Saucier '18 captured first place in one event and broke his own school record in another on the second and final day of the 2018 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships at SUNY Brockport's Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Saucier won the men's 100-meter dash with a time of 10.65 seconds. About 90 minutes later, he eclipsed his own record in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 21.47 seconds. Despite the blazing-fast performance, Saucier was runner-up behind Rowan University's Shai Mumford and his winning time of 21.40 seconds.

Lucas Wright '21 finished second in the men's 800-meter run with a personal-record time of 1:51.95. Ramapo College of New Jersey's Jeremy Hernandez was the winner in 1:50.23. Will Richardson '21 ended up in 14th place in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.73 seconds.

The Continentals landed in ninth place with 36 team points. A total of 24 teams recorded at least one point, and Rowan captured the team title with 130.
