The Hamilton College men's and women's cross country teams host the Short Course Tuneup on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The women's 4-kilometer race is set to begin at 11 a.m. followed by the men's 5-kilometer race at 11:30 a.m.

Both teams have not competed since the Hamilton Invitational on Oct. 7 when both the men and women won team titles.

Other programs in attendance will be Bard, Hobart, Royal Military College, SUNY Morrisville, SUNY Polytechnic, Utica, Wells, and William Smith.

Hanna Jerome '18 has been the top finisher for the women all season. Grace Heller '20 has had an impressive first year with the Continentals, placing second on the team in every race this fall.

The women's team is ranked 10th this week in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division III Atlantic Region.

When Hamilton hosted the Short Course Meet on Sept. 9, Jerome and Heller ran to a fourth and fifth place finish with times of 15:03.04 and 15:07.2, respectively. Brigit Humphreys '21 added an 11th place finish with a time of 15:35.3 to help the Continentals place third out of 11 teams.

On the men's side, Peter DeWeirdt '18 and Lucas Wright '21 have finished first or second on the team in three of four races this season with the exception being the Short Course Meet when Bryce Murdick '20 led the team.

Five Continentals finished in the top-25 at the Hamilton Short Course Meet as the men's team finished second out of 12 teams. Murdick finished in 15:29.1 for fifth place. DeWeirdt finished eighth with a time of 15:44.0 and Wright was 10th with a time of 15:47.1. Andrew Sinclair '18 ran a 15:53.5 for 14th place and Erich Wohl '18 finished 22nd with a time of 16:04.7.
