NESCAC-leading women’s hockey returns to Russell Sage Rink

The Hamilton College women's hockey team hosts Trinity College for a two-game NESCAC series at Russell Sage Rink. The puck drops at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12 and at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The NESCAC-leading Hamilton (6-3-1, 4-0 NESCAC) returns to conference action since defeating Colby 1-0 and 4-0 on Dec. 1 and 2. The Continentals pace the conference with a 96.4 (27/28) penalty kill percentage and 1.10 goals allowed to the opposition per game, ranking them first and third in Division III, respectively.

Michaela Giuttari '20 and Missy Segall '21 each have five goals and Giuttari leads the team with 10 points. Andrea Rockey '19 has three goals, including the overtime game-winner against Colby on Dec. 1. Taegan Blackwell '19, Rockey, and Segall each have four assists. Sam Walther '18 paces the NESCAC in save percentage (95.8) and goals against average (1.16) in 466+ minutes in goal this season.

The Bantams (2-8, 0-6 NESCAC) have lost six straight games, including four conference setbacks to then-No. 9 Conn. College and Amherst College. Trinity's two victories this season were over Buffalo State on Nov. 25 and 26.

Kelcie Finn, Tasha Adams, and Taylor Peracchio each tally two goals and two assists. Caroline Howell has two goals and Abigail Riskevich has three assists. Sydney Belinskas has started 9-of-10 games in net for Trinity and obtains a 92.5 save percentage and 2.36 goals against average.

Hamilton and Trinity split the series last season in Hartford, Conn. The Continentals have a 17-19-3 all-time record against the Bantams.
