The Continentals collected the honor for the ninth time in the last 11 years. The award recognizes collegiate and high school teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Five Hamilton volleyball student-athletes made the 2017 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team back in November. Erin Donahue '18, Claire Kitz '19, Margaret O'Brien '18, Kendall Searcy '20 and Christine Zizzi '18 were the honorees.

The Continentals finished 2017 with a 14-9 overall record but experienced unprecedented success in the NESCAC under head coach Kristin Baker, who is entering her second year at Hamilton. The Continentals went 7-3 and ended up in fourth place in the conference standings as both of those finishes were the best in program history.

Hamilton opens the 2018 schedule at the SUNY New Paltz Hawks Invitational on Friday, Sept. 7 with matches against Mount Saint Mary College and Alfred University.
