The Hamilton College SAAC provides a platform for student-athletes to voice their opinions, collaborate on their ideas and incite change at Hamilton. Serving as a liaison between the student body and the administration, the SAAC ensures that all 29 teams are treated and represented equally within the athletic department. SAAC members are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive athletic program and pledge to give back to the community that supports Hamilton's teams through service and outreach efforts. Above all, SAAC members aim to create a positive athletic culture at Hamilton in which both student-athletes and fans are celebrated as the SAAC continuously strives toward higher goals.
What is SAAC?
In 1989 the NCAA formed the first student-athlete advisory committee. Today, the NCAA requires each member institution and conference to bring together a group of student-athletes to create its own SAAC. Hamilton has maintained its own SAAC and continues to serve as members of the NESCAC's SAAC. The mission of these groups, according to the NCAA, is to "enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image".
