Men's tennis pushes win streak to six matches

The Hamilton College Continentals breezed to a 9-0 non-conference win against Whitworth University at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida, on Monday afternoon.

Hamilton (6-1) recorded its sixth straight victory since opening the spring season with a setback against then-nationally ranked No. 2 Middlebury College. The Continentals don't return to the courts until Friday, April 5 when they make the short trip to Utica College for another non-conference match that starts at 4:30 p.m. Whitworth's record dipped to 2-8.

Max Zimmerman '21, Sam Farber '20, Rob Dotterer '21 and Tim Derby '21 won their singles and doubles matches. Zimmerman was a winner at first flight singles and teamed up with Danny Tsyvin '22 for a victory at second flight doubles. Farber and Dotterer were partners for a triumph at first flight doubles and were winners at second and third flight singles, respectively. Derby cruised to the win at fourth flight singles and was paired with Lars Scannell '19 for a victory at third flight doubles.

Joe Reiner '22 lost just one game at fifth flight singles and Jafar Sharipov '21 rounded out the sweep with a win at sixth flight singles.
