Hamilton College's Katie Tenefrancia '19 scored the game winner in the 79th minute and the Continentals posted a 2-1 NESCAC win over Connecticut College at Hamilton's Love Field on Saturday.

Kristin Hughes '20 gathered the loose ball off a punt from Rachel Pike '21 (eight saves) and sped down the right sideline. Hughes passed up the wing to Kayleigh Harris '20 who dribbled around a Camel for an open cross. Harris' cross deflected off a defender, right to Tenefrancia for a one-timer into the upper right corner of the net for a 2-1 lead with 11:56 remaining in the contest.

Hamilton improves to 3-1 in the NESCAC and 3-1-1 overall, while snapping the Camels' three game win streak. Conn. College (4-2 overall) drops to 0-2 in the conference.

Hamilton took the early lead in the 25th minute and held a 1-0 edge at halftime. Jessie Murray '19 fed the ball up to Harris in the left corner, and while being knocked to the ground, Harris managed to loft the ball into the box where Cat Gambino '21 drilled a shot under the crossbar for her fourth goal of the season.

The Camels tied the game 1-1 in the opening minutes of the second half. Zoe Stublarec passed straight up the middle of field to Kat Norton. Norton split the Continental defenders for a breakaway on Pike. Pike stopped the initial shot but the rebound tipped to the back post where Tori Kretzmer and Hughes were tangled up, and Kretzmer tapped the ball over the goal line.

The Continentals are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. for a NESCAC game against unbeaten No. 6/16 Middlebury College on Love Field.
