Women's tennis wraps up Florida trip with win over Whitworth

The Hamilton College Continentals recorded three singles victories in three sets and posted an 8-1 win over Whitworth University at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida, on Monday afternoon.

Hamilton (4-2 overall) won't return to the courts until Thursday, April 4 when the Continentals travel to Union College for another non-conference match at 4 p.m. Whitworth's overall record dropped to 6-3.

Sophia Aulicino '21, Audrey Chor '21, Kat Roberts '22 and Ajla Karabegovic '21 won their singles and doubles matches. Aulicino prevailed in straight sets at first flight singles and teamed up with Chor for a victory at first flight doubles. Chor outlasted her opponent in three sets at second flight singles. Roberts was another three-set winner at fourth flight singles and was partners with Karabegovic for their triumph at second flight doubles. Roberts has won five straight singles matches. Karabegovic collected the win at fifth flight singles.

Jane Haffer '19 didn't lose a single game at third flight singles, and Becca Ingber '22 pulled out a three-set victory at sixth flight singles.
